Ronewa Art Projects presents the exhibition catalog for ‘Cover the Blank Spots" by Swiss-Tibetan artist Tashi Brauen.
Tashi Brauen's new exhibition catalog highlights his fascination with the hard-edge geometric abstraction and color-field painting of the 1960s.
His works often eliminate the subject to the point of near abstraction, emphasizing surface and materiality. For his latest exhibition, "Cover the Blank Spots," Brauen has chosen to work on canvas and has applied a consistent compositional framework across all of the works.
The reduction of composition and surface texture is Brauen’s deliberate attempt to eliminate narrative and invites his audience to a viewing experience centered on the act of seeing itself.
