Ronewa Art Projects (Berlin) presents a continuation of the collaboration between Chris Bünter and Tashi Brauen, who have combined their distinct artistic practices to create a new series of 14 works titled Road to Nowhere. This exhibition marks a significant step in their partnership, which has evolved over the years, blending the artists’ individual techniques into a creactive and often unpredictable process.
The works in this series are a fusion of collage and monoprint, utilizing materials from Du, a Swiss magazine rich in cultural and artistic history. Du, which has been in circulation since 1941, is well-known for its intellectual content and focus on culture, history, and art. The artists have creatively recycled old issues of this magazine, giving new life to its pages through a series of spontaneous gestures that contrast with the more polished, edited nature of the magazine’s original content.

We are delighted to announce the book launch of Tashi Brauen on April 24th at our gallery space. Since 2017, we have regularly collaborated with the artist, and we are thrilled to present Hold On, Tashi Brauen’s first work catalog, which looks back on his artistic journey over the last 15 years.
His work is a continuous process that blends installation, photography, collage, and painting, with a preference for minimalist forms, surfaces, and colors. Brauen’s artistic practice is characterized by the interplay of meticulous planning and spontaneous impulses. He establishes clear structures only to deliberately disrupt them through experimental processes, often in collaboration with other artists. His focus lies in the staging of spaces and objects, which he captures photographically. Everyday objects arranged into installations create dynamic fields of tension through light and shadow.
